The Ordinary.

This series of images discovers “the ordinary” parts of daily life. I have photographed different objects, people, actions, and behaviours on the streets of Hong Kong which can be seen every day, but each of these subjects has a unique back story. Actions performed and objects that exist on a day-to-day basis originates from a unique reason, whether is it out of a matter of habit or need. Using hard light and strong contrast, the subjects of these photographs are highlighted and provokes an inner story. This series aims to distil the ordinary parts of daily life into interesting stories and have convey the message that nothing is ‘ordinary’ in life.
